H.E. Tsogtbaatar Damdin
Mr. Tsogtbaatar Damdin is a Member of the State Great Hural (Parliament) of Mongolia and
Chairman of the Standing Committee on Legal Affairs. He previously served as Minister for Foreign
Affairs of Mongolia (2017–2020), Minister for Construction and Urban Development (2014–2015),
and Minister for Nature, Environment and Tourism (2012). He has also worked as Foreign Policy
Advisor to two Presidents of Mongolia and State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Mr.
Tsogtbaatar holds a Master’s degree in Political Science from Moscow State Institute of International
Relations (MGIMO) and a Master of Legal Studies in International Law from the Australian National
University.
His research interests include international relations, multilateral diplomacy, trade law, and
small-state foreign policy. He has published extensively on WTO accession, international trade,
global governance, and Mongolia’s foreign policy. His works have appeared in international academic
publications in London, Cambridge, and New Delhi. He currently focuses on human rights, multilateral
cooperation, and peace diplomacy initiatives.
